STOCKTON, Calif. -- As the West Coast Conference schedule heats up as the conference tournament nears, fans can enjoy a number of road games at The Lair, a fun campus hangout located on the second floor of the DeRosa University Center.
Recently refurbished with state-of-the-art technology, including a 16,000-Lumen Panasonic laser projector with a 16-foot screen and six 70-inch 4K ultra high-definition video displays. Plus, The Lair will serve its pub-grub menu during the game. The event is open to students, faculty, staff and the community. There is no charge for admission to The Lair.
The Lair has become a popular site for student gatherings, including watch parties for post-season men's water polo contests this fall.
Donte Miller, Executive Director of Campus Life, had this challenge for the students, "This past fall, you showed up in numbers in The Lair for the FIFA World Cup, Cricket World Cup, the Men's Water Polo games or just to hang out with friends. We invite you to bring the same energy to support the Men's and Women's Basketball Teams in some of their marquee away games. Let's root on our Tigers now through March!
One of the first opportunities for basketball in The Lair will be Saturday, Feb. 4, when fans will have two chances to see the Tigers in action. The women's team plays a 1 p.m. contest at Pepperdine. The men's squad plays at BYU at 7 p.m. PT.
Student Life and Athletics are partnering on "Watch Parties" for the Pacific games in the WCC Tournament. Fans should mark their calendars for March 2-7. If you are not with the team in Las Vegas, The Lair will be the center of the Tiger rally around the team in the WCC Tournament. Game dates and times will be determined when the regular season concludes.
