STOCKTON, Calif. - On Sunday in a West Coast Conference game, the University of the Pacific Softball team lost the series finale to Loyola Marymount, 6-0.
GAME SUMMARY
LMU got on the board in the first inning when Andrea Gonzalez hit an RBI double to drive in Taylor Keinath for a 1-0 lead.Â
Keinath hit her first home run of the season in the top of the third inning to give the Lions a 2-0 lead.Â
The lead tripled for the Lions in the top of the seventh. Doubles by Molly Grumbo and Megan Dedrick drove in three runs for LMU, and Gonzalez scored as a result of a two-out error.Â
Although the Tigers had five runners reach scoring position, the combined pitching of Alessandra Samperio and Marina Vitalich for the Lions held Pacific scoreless for a 6-0 win to close out the series.Â
