Pacific Athletics Extends iHeart Radio Contract

STOCKTON. Calif- KWSX Stockton 1280, a local affiliate of iHeartRadio, has officially extended their agreement to remain the official home of the University of Pacific men's and women's basketball.

"We are looking forward to working closely with the Pacific Tigers again this season," said Mike Murray, executive producer at iHeart Media. "Each team finished last season with extreme promise and the energy in each program is a perfect match for our company."

Identical to the 2019-20 season, all Pacific men's basketball games will air live on KWSX-am as well as being available to stream via the IHeart Radio App. Additionally, select women's basketball games will be carried under the new agreement.

"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with iHeart media and Fox Sports for the upcoming basketball seasons," said Wes Yourth, Senior Associate Director of Athletics. "Beginning the season without the energy of our supporters in the Alex G. Spanos Center will be difficult, but having the iHeart team onboard will allow us to reach our audience and provide an experience for all who tune into the action."

Entering his eleventh season with the Tigers, longtime broadcaster Zack Bayrouty will call the action for the men's basketball games while Don Gubbins will be behind-the-mic on the women's side.

Tip-off for the men's team is set for Wednesday, November 25th at 2pm as they will host UC Riverside at the Alex G. Spanos Center while the women are scheduled to hit the road to visit #2 Stanford in their season opener on Sunday, November 29th in Palo Alto.
