FRESNO, Calif. - The Pacific women's tennis team caught fire in the later stages of singles play and earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Fresno State on Saturday afternoon at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center in Fresno.
What Coach Erwin Said:
"It was a great start to the season for us today. I'm really pleased with how we came back from 2-0 down to win the match. I'm so proud of senior Anna Ramos Vinolas who won the deciding match."
How it Happened:
- Pacific dropped the doubles point 2-0 despite Dohee Lee and Klara Kosan putting up a fight in their match.
- The Tigers turned it around in singles play, taking all their wins in straight sets.
- Kosan and Zoe Eberle shut out their opponents in the opening set of their singles matches.
- Anna Ramos-Vinolas was on the ropes with Fresno State's Alessia Dario, but was able to pull through for the match-deciding win.
