Final home gained rained out

Pacific baseball wrapped up its series with Portland today after the game was canceled due to heavy rains this afternoon in the Stockton area.

The Tigers and Pilots got the game off on time and played two and a half complete innings, but the game was cut short of an official game. The Pilots led the Tigers 4-0 through two and a half innings.

The game was originally halted around 1:45 p.m. with a lightning delay, but the lightning quickly turned into heavy rain and by 3:00 p.m., the game was stopped short by officials. The Tigers were able to honor their seniors with a pregame ceremony under sunny skies in what was set to be their final home game at Klein Family Field. The eight graduating seniors will go out as winners at Klein; the team earned a walk-off victory on Friday night in the final official home game of the season. The Tigers and Pilots split the final West Coast Conference series of the season at a game a piece.

Pacific has one final game scheduled this season, a road game on Tuesday at Stanford. However, rain is in the forecast for that game as well. Keep up with the Tigers on social media @PacificBaseball for all of the updates.
