Box Score SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The dropped their final game of a three-game series to Santa Clara on Sunday, 5-4.
Pacific (16-30, 2-10) would give up a 3-2 lead in the fourth and fall short against the Broncos late in the game. Seven Tigers would record a hit in the ball game including a perfect 3-3 performane at the plate by junior Hailey Reed.
Pacific vs. Santa Clara: - In Case You Missed It:
- A leadoff single by Carly Lucchetti in the third started things off for the Orange and Black as Jessica Mabrey would strike an RBI-single to bring Lucchetti in for UOP's first run of the game, 1-1.
- The Tigers would have a two-run inning in the fourth as a sac-fly RBI from Ralene Estrada following by a Bronco throwing error brought home Talli Shepherd and Caitlin Reynolds. This gave Pacific their first lead, 3-2.
- Santa Clara would drive in three runs in the following bottom half to pull ahead but Hailey Reed would keep her team in the game as an RBI-single up the middle cut SCU's lead in half, 5-4.
- Santa Clara would hold on in the final inning, however, stranding one runner for the series win.
