Pacific women's tennis dropped its second to last match of the season to BYU, 4-3 at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis center on Friday.

The Tigers got wins in singles on courts two, five and six, but lost all three matches in doubles and lost on courts two, three and four to surrender a loss to BYU. The loss dropped the Tigers to 1-7 on the West Coast Conference season and erased any chance at an appearance at the WCC Championships next weekend.

In singles, Karina Vyrlan snapped a four-match losing streak with a win over Kate Cusick 6-1, 7-5. At court five, it was Georgia Townsend who got her second win of the season and her first in the five spot over Taylah Backman, 7-5, 5-7, 6-4. In six singles, Ioana Popescu got her first win in Pacific's dual match season in her third complete match, 7-5, 7-5 over Samantha Smith.

Pacific had an opportunity to grab a win on court four where it was Anna Ramos-Vinolas locked in a three-set contest with Madeline Almeida, 6-3, 3-6, 6-0.

Pacific wraps up the regular season at home tomorrow with a match against No. 36 San Diego at noon. Join the Tigers as they send off their seniors Jessica Kaye, Anneroos Nederstigt, Ioana Popescu and Sabrina Rodriguez in their final matches at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.
