Pacific women's tennis (0-2) fell in a road match against UC Davis (1-3) on Sunday, 4-3.
The Tigers jumped out to an early lead by taking the doubles point with wins at two and three doubles and then made it a 2-0 lead with a victory at No. 6 singles from freshman Georgia Townsend. Pacific stumbled with losses in three singles matches to let Davis have a chance. The day came down to a decisive match at No. 4 singles where freshman Maya Lopez fought valiantly but came up just short in three sets, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6.
Pacific has just one more match this month on Feb. 24, when the Tigers host Cal Poly at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center in a match that is set to start at noon.
