STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's basketball team (3-1) is set to host the Tiger Turkey Tip-Off on Friday, Nov. 29 and Saturday, Nov. 30 at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
Kicking the weekend off, Cal State Northridge (1-5) will face off against SMU (2-2) at 2:00 pm in the first game of the tournament. The Tigers will then follow this matchup with a showdown versus Indiana State at 4:30 pm.
On Saturday, the losers of the first two games will meet for third place at 1:00 pm. The winners of the two Friday games will then play at 3:30 pm for the championship.

LAST TIME OUT:
- Recording their second win a row, Pacific cruised past Weber State, 76-53, on Thursday, Nov. 21 behind the support of over 2,000 local students in attendance for Education Day. The Tigers used a 22-1 run in the second quarter to come back from early struggles, ultimately finding their rhythm on offense as they breezed by the Wildcats to win by 23 points.
- Redshirt senior Sofie Tryggedsson was named the City of Stockton Human Resources Hardworking Player of the Game after registering a new season-high with 17 points in the win. The Colorado State transfer also pulled down seven rebounds and dished out two assists while shooting 50% from the field for Pacific.
- Scoring in double figures for the fourth consecutive game, junior Brooklyn McDavid tallied a game-high 19 points while also adding seven rebounds, three steals, one assist and one block. The Studio City native is currently fifth in the nation in scoring with an average of 24.0 points per game. She is also third in Division I in field-goal percentage as she is shooting 73.7% from the floor.
- Coming up clutch for the Tigers when called upon, junior Lianna Tillman notched her first double-digit performance of the season by pouring in 15 points on 6-14 shooting. The Stockton native also recorded three rebounds, three steals, one assist and one block for Pacific in the victory.
SCOUTING THE MATADORS:
- Last weekend, CSUN recorded their first win of the season after taking down Portland, 73-64, on Thurs. Nov 21. Just a few days later, they were then defeated by Washington State, 71-61, on Sunday, Nov. 24.
- De'Jionae Calloway registered a new career-high for points in a game when she scored 27 in the victory over Portland. She also added 10 rebounds in the victory for her second career double-double. Calloway then recorded her second consecutive double-double at Washington State when she scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the loss.
- Meghann Henderson averaged 11.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game last week. Jordyn Jackson averaged 11.0 points and 4.0 assists per game against Portland and Washington State.
SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS:
- SMU suffered a heartbreaking, one-point loss to rival TCU on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The Mustangs trailed by as many as ten in the second quarter, but fought back, cutting the lead to five at halftime. The Mustangs would complete the comeback, holding a one-point advantage, 52-51, with 5:55 left. However, a TCU four straight points gave the Horned Frogs the advantage with 3:08 to play in the game. It was the last lead change of the game, as TCU won 57-56.
- Brishonne Tollie leads the team with 13.3 points per game, shooting 45.2 percent from the field. She is also averaging 7.8 rebounds per contest. Overall, Tollie has scored at least 10 in three of the first four games, including a career-high 19 points against Rice.
- Johnasia Cash is nearly averaging a double-double with 10.8 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. Amber Bacon is scoring 8.8 points per game, and reached double digits in three of the first four games. She leads the team with 14 made free throws in 17 attempts while also tallying 11 total assists.
SCOUTING THE SYCAMORES:
- Indiana State and Pacific meet for the first time on Friday, with this only being ISU's second game against a WCC team in program history.
- The Sycamores dropped their last game, 59-46, at Colorado on Tuesday, Nov. 26. Juniors CeCe Mayo and LeAndra Echi, both products on Northwest Florida State, were the leaders for ISU at Colorado. Mayo led the scoring effort with 10 points to go along with four steals, while Echi finished with seven points, 11 boards and four assists. Echi now has three games with 10 or more rebounds this season and is fourth in the MVC in with an average of 8.8 rebounds per game.
- ISU has established themselves as one of the better defensive teams in their conference early in the season, recording 49 steals through five games for an average of 9.80 steals-per-game, best in the MVC. Freshmen Del'Janae Williams and Sommer Pitzer own the second and third most steals-per-game in the league with averages of 2.8 and 2.5, respectively.
