Box Score HAMILTON, N.Y. – The University of the Pacific field hockey team (6-3) earned its third consecutive win after defeating Colgate University Thursday afternoon, 5-2.
In Case You Missed It:
- Kriekie van Wyk scored her eighth goal of the season off a penalty corner. Gaby de Kock passed the ball to Nthabi Maine for a stop to allow van Wyk to shoot the ball to the left corner and put the Tigers up, 1-0.
- The Raiders tied it up with eight minutes to go in the first on a pass from Taylor Casamassa to Remi Filippini to tip it in.
- In the final five minutes, the Raiders grabbed the lead, 2-1, before heading into the intermission.
- Halfway through the second half, the Tigers tied it up 2-2 off a corner. Sophia Lizalde passed the ball into the circle to find Gaby de Kock for the tip-in.
- In less than two minutes, the Tigers netted two goals between Rylee Comeau and Lindsie Rogers to give Pacific a 4-2 advantage over the Raiders.
- Hayley Kilfoil insured the win, scoring the final goal for the Orange and Black, and scored her first goal of the season.
By the Numbers:
- Pacific outshot the Raiders, 23-5, landing 15 on target compared to two by Colgate.
- The Tigers scored four goals in a 13-minute span to come up with the victory.
