Stockton, Calif. - Pacific men's volleyball opposite hitter Thomas Hodges was named an Off The Block Freshman All-American Tuesday. The 6-5 native of Melbourne, Australia ranked 13th in the NCAA in the regular season in blocks per set, with 1.12 while adding 3.26 kills per set.
His kills mark ranked 34th in the NCAA this season, while his blocks per set mark was the highest in the country among non-middle blockers. Combined with teammate Tommy Carmody (1.60), he helped Pacific lead the country in blocks per set as a team this season (3.05).
Hodges also ranked 45th in the country in aces per set with 0.28. He totaled 248 kills on the year to go with 85 blocks.
