No. 16 Tigers Fall to No. 11 UC San Diego, 14-9

Berkeley, Calif. - The Pacific men's water polo team fell to UC San Diego by a score of 14-9 on Sept. 16 in Berkeley, Calif. The Tigers are now 1-2 in games played at the NorCal water polo tournament this year and are 3-5 in games played this season. With the win, UC San Diego advanced to 7-4 on the year.

Senior Duje Kaurloto (Split, Croatia) led the team in goals in the game, netting three in the contest. Dragan Bakic (Split, Croatia) and Mike Struempf (Pleasant Hill, Calif.) each scored two goals in Sunday's first of two games, while Will Milcovich (Walnut Creek, Calif.) and Andy Skora (San Clemente, Calif.) added one a piece.

David Andrus (Houston, Texas) recorded six saves while in goal for the Tigers in the game.

Pacific's final game of the NorCal tournament will be played later today against Loyola Marymount University at 4:00 in Berkeley, Calif.

Pacific: 3 - 3 - 2 -1 = 9

UC San Diego: 3 - 5 - 5 - 1 = 14
