No. 13 Tigers Fall to MPSF Rival No. 4 Stanford, 14-7

Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific men's water polo team fell to No. 4 Stanford by the score of 14-7 in Stockton, Calif. on Nov. 4. With the loss the Tigers fell to 14-16 on the season and 1-6 in MPSF action, while the Cardinal advanced to 13-6 on the season with the win. Stanford is now 3-3 in MPSF match-ups thus far this season.

Andy Skora (San Clement, Calif.), Duje Kaurloto (Split, Croatia), and Dragan Bakic (Split, Croatia) all led the Tigers in scoring on the day as each of the three seniors found the back of the net twice on the afternoon. Skora scored once in the first period and once in the fourth, while Bakic scored twice in the fourth period and Kaurloto scored once in the first and once in the third.

Scoring Pacific's final goal of the day was junior Will Milcovich (Walnut Creek, Calif.). Milcovich scored in the third period to bring the Tigers within six, but Sandy Hohener and the Cardinal defense never let the Tigers fully get back into the game. Hohener had eleven saves in the game, while his teammate Brian Pingree had one save in relief of the Stanford goalie in the fourth quarter. Brian Domecus (Vallejo, Calif.) recorded 13 saves in the game and allowed only 14 goals for the Tigers.

Pacific's final game of the regular season will be played at home on Nov. 11 against USC. The game will start at noon and will honor the 2007 seniors.
