No. 13 Tigers Fall Short Against No. 2 USC on Senior Day, 14-9

Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific men's water polo team fell to No. 2 USC on senior day at Chris Kjeldsen Pool on Nov. 11 by the score of 14-9. Seniors Dragan Bakic (Split, Croatia), Duje Kaurloto (Split, Croatia), Andy Skora (San Clemente, Calif.) and Kenny Yamamoto (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) were each honored on the day and with the loss the Tigers ended their season with a record of 14-17. The Trojans advanced to 14-2 on the year with the win.

The first period of the contest featured goals by Skora and Mike Struempf (Pleasant Hill, Calif.) as the teams battled back and forth to a 2-2 tie. In the second quarter however, both teams exploded to score a combined total of nine goals and to leave the Tigers trailing by a score of 8-5 heading into the half. The Tigers were then outscored by a margin of 6-4 in the second half to fall to the No. 2 Trojans by a final score of 14-9.

Struempf added another goal later in the game to finish the contest with two, while Will Milcovich (Walnut Creek, Calif.), Bakic, and Yamamoto each scored once in the contest. Kaurloto led the Tigers with three goals on the day to account for the Tigers final three goals of the game. Brian Domecus was in goal in the contest finishing the day with a handful of game changing steals and a total of seven saves.

USC: 2 - 6 - 2 - 4 = 14
