Men's Water Polo

No. 15 Pacific Falls to No. 9 UC Davis, 8-4

Oct. 5, 2007

Stockton, Calif. - The No. 15 Pacific men's water polo team fell to No. 9 UC Davis in a game dominated by defensive play on Oct. 5 at the Cortopassi Aquatics center on the campus of Saint Mary's High School in Stockton, Calif. With the loss, the Tigers fell to 7-9 on the season, while the Aggies advanced to 12-4 on the year.

Senior Duje Kaurloto (Split, Croatia) led all scorers in the game with four goals on the day, as he netted one goal in each of the four periods. Mike McGee of UC Davis, who was the goal keeper for the Aggies, did a good job of preventing any of Kaurloto's teammates from adding additional Pacific goals throughout the contest.

Brian Domecus (Vallejo, Calif.) was in goal for the Tigers. He also had several key saves in the Tigers' loss. Although there were chances for Pacific to get back into the game late in the third and fourth periods, the Tigers were unable to capitalize on those opportunities.

The Pacific men's water polo team will next be in action on Oct. 6-7, when they host the Pacific Invitational, which will be held at Delta Junior College in Stockton, Calif. The Tigers' first game of the invitational will be against Fresno Pacific at 9:40 a.m.
