Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific men's water polo dropped an 11-6 decision to No. 3 UCLA on Sunday, Nov. 5.
The loss dropped the Tigers to 14-13 overall and 2-4 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, while UCLA improved 11-5 on the season and 2-2 in conference play.
The Bruins jumped out on the Tigers in the opening two quarters as UCLA jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first quarter and outscored Pacific 5-2 in the second quarter to build an 8-3 halftime advantage.
Pacific junior Dragan Bakic (Split, Croatia) led Pacific with two goals, while UCLA got three goals from Marco Santos.
The Tigers will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 11 as Pacific hosts No. 2 California at 12 p.m. Three hours later, the Tigers will host Santa Clara in their final home game of the season at 3 p.m. The game against Santa Clara will also serve as the Tigers' senior day, honoring Pacific's six departing seniors.
