Pacific's seventh-ranked men's water polo team dropped a 10-5 decision to fourth-ranked Stanford in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation game on Saturday morning at the Avery Aquatic Center.
The Tigers fell to 15-15 overall and 2-6 in the MPSF while the Cardinal improved to 16-7 overall and 5-3 in the MPSF.
After a close first period that found the Tigers down 2-1, Stanford outscored the Tigers 5-1 to take a 7-2 halftime lead. From that point the teams played even, each scoring three goals in the second half.
Junior Duje Kaurloto (Split, Croatia) scored two goals to lead the Tigers.
