No. 4 UCLA defeats No. 7 Pacific, 9-5

Los Angeles, Calif. - The Pacific Tigers men's water polo team fell to No. 4 UCLA, 9-5, on Sunday, Nov. 27. The loss dropped the Tigers to 19-14 this season.

UCLA started the match off with a fast goal on a power play by Krsto Sbutega. Pacific tied it up on a 5 on 4 advantage to finish out the first period.

The teams traded a pair of goals before Grant Zider of UCLA fired off a shot to put the Bruins ahead by one, 3-2 at halftime.

Pacific tied the match up in the beginning of the third period before UCLA tallied two goals to take a 5-3 lead. The Tigers took advantage of a man advantage to make it a one-point game at 5-4 going into the final period.

UCLA, however, notched four goals in the final period to take the match, 9-5.
