Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific Tigers men's water polo team dropped its second consecutive game to No. 3 Stanford, 9-2, on Saturday, Oct. 8. The loss dropped the Tigers to 7-6 on the season, while the Cardinal moved to 8-2 overall.
The Cardinal took control of the game in the first two periods with three goals in each frame.
Trailing 6-0, Pacific senior Adam Zobler (Sutton, Mass.) got Pacific on the board with 5:26 remaining in the third period. That, however, was as close as the Tigers would get.
Stanford scored the next three goals, before Zobler scored on a four-meter penalty.
The Tigers will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 15 as Pacific begins play at the NorCal Tournament.
