No. 9 Pacific Falls to No. 2 Cal

Berkeley, Calif.- The No. 9 Pacific men's water polo team fell to 10-9 overall, 0-3 in conference play with a 17-7 defeat to No. 2 Cal on Thursday, Oct. 27 at Spieker Aquatic Center.

Matt Turnbull (Act, Australia) continued his hot scoring string with three goals, and Clint McLaughlin (El Cajon, Calif.) added three of his own. In the last six games, Turnbull has scored 14 of his team high 27 goals.

The Tigers led 3-2 after one period of play on the strength of two McLaughlin goals. Cal responded with five goals in the second to take a 7-5 halftime lead. The Bears went on to outscore the Tigers 10-2 in the second to run their record to 16-3, 2-1 in conference play.

Pacific returns to action this weekend, Oct. 29-30, travelling to the UC Davis Shootout.
