Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center
The home of the Pacific men's and women's tennis programs, the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center is one of the finest tennis facilities on the West Coast and in the West Coast Conference. The facility underwent groundbreaking in October of 2014 and was dedicated in September of 2017.Â
The $4.9 million facility was generously spearheaded by a $2 million gift from former professional tennis player and UOP tennis student-athlete Eve Zimmerman, who competed for Pacific from 1980 to 1984.Â
The lavish facility consists of 12 courts, the 5,500 square foot Roy and Jean Sanders Tennis Clubhouse, covered player benches and an electronic scoreboard. It also occupies a portion of the footprint of the former Amos Alonzo Stagg Memorial Stadium. A portion of Zimmerman's naming gift also funded a matching campaign aimed at inspiring additional donors to support the project.
The Roy and Jean Sanders Tennis Clubhouse, in honor of longtime Bank of Stockton employee Roy Sanders, was unveiled at the facility's dedication in September of 2017. The Clubhouse is a 4,262-square-foot addition to the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center that includes a plethora of state-of-the-art amenities, including men's and women's team rooms showcasing 12 locker spaces, an athletic training room and an office space.
