Former University of the Pacific swimmer and NCAA B cut swimmer Taylor Moore enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Tigers in 2020-21.
Moore returns to UOP after a three year stint as the head coach at Rio Americano High School in Sacramento, where his tenure included three straight CAL league championships, seven Sac-Joaquin section titles, four section records, 11 school records and eight all-Americans.
Moore's familiarity with Pacific however stretches beyond being in the pool. Two years removed from graduation, Moore came back to Stockton as a volunteer assistant for the 2017-18 year that saw five NCAA qualifiers and 12 school records broken for one of the best mid major swim programs in the country.
The Sacramento native spent five years as a member of the Pacific Swim and Dive program, highlighted by a school record in the 800 Freestyle Relay. Before Stockton, he was a two time section champion at Jesuit High School in Sacramento and a six time All-American in high school.
Moore also serves as the head age group coach for Spare Time Aquatics Sacramento. During his tenure, the program has seen three top 10 national swimmers, 38 team records, three Sierra Nevada League records, the award for the 2017 Most Improved Program and top three program accolades for 2018 and 2019.
Moore graduated from Pacific in May of 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Communication.
