Pacific Cross Country And Men's Tennis Teams Join Together At The Children's Museum Of Stockton
Stockton, Calif. – Members of the Pacific Cross Country and Men's Tennis teams joined together in the local community at the Children's Museum of Stockton on Sunday, Oct. 30.
In a combined effort, the student-athletes participated in the Children's Museum of Stockton's annual Halloween event. The teams engaged with the children in Halloween themed events including arts and crafts, face painting and other fun tasks.
Sophomore cross country student-athlete Melissa Hopper was thrilled to give back to the community saying, "it was a great event for the children and families of Stockton. All of the sports teams at Pacific have been looking for ways to get involved, and this ended up being a great opportunity for us to do so." The standout runner added, "We were spread throughout the wonderfully decorated museum where we interacted with the kids and parents through some great Halloween activities."
Hopper continued by saying, "playing with the families and seeing the excitement on the children's faces made our experience at the Children's Museum of Stockton very fun and rewarding."
The Pacific Cross Country team will send a collection of runners on Nov. 12 to Stanford, Calif. for the NCAA Regionals. While the men's tennis team is off until Jan. 21 when they continue its 2011-12 campaign against Idaho.
