#10 Women's Water Polo Heads To UCSB Winter Invite

STOCKTON, Calif. - The No. 10 Pacific women's water polo team heads to the UCSB Winter Invite for four games this weekend in Santa Barbara, starting Friday.

The Tigers will face No. 5 Hawai'i on Friday at 3:30 p.m. at UCSB Pool, and then on Saturday meet No. 3 UCLA at 1:30 p.m. and Pomona-Pitzer at 6 p.m. at UCSB's Rec Center Pool. On Sunday, the Tigers wrap their tourney with a 12:00 p.m. match-up with No. 11 UC San Diego, also at the Rec Center Pool.

Pacific enters the weekend at 1-1 after a split in the opening weekend at the LouStrong Memorial Invitational. The Tigers thumped No. 17 UC Davis, 15-6, in the opener but fell to No. 4 California, 15-7.

Rachel Krieger and Viktoria Tamas lead Pacific with five goals each through two games, while Kyra Christmas, Karolina Hlavata and Kennedy Watson have each posted three.

Goalkeeper Alexis Hollinrake is averaging nine saves per contest.

On Wednesday, the Tigers defeated Team Canada in an exhibition, 12-11, behind four goals from Christmas and a game-winner from Hlavata.

Hawai'i, Pomona-Pitzer and UC San Diego will all be playing season openers at the UCSB Winter Invite. UCLA sits at 2-0 on the year, with a 20-1 win over San Jose State and a 15-1 win over UC Davis at the LouStrong Memorial.
