Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific women's water polo team dropped a conference contest to Santa Clara, 15-9, Sunday at Santa Clara. Malena Prlain scored three goals, while Brydie Pye and Taylor Adair added two each. Catie Mahnke and Elise Martin also tallied for Pacific.

Pye opened the scoring, but the Broncos answered with four straight goals. A pair of goals from Pye cut the margin to 5-3, before Prlain answered a Bronco goal to cap a 10-goal first quarter.

Prlain and Adair scored to pull within 86, but in the third, the Broncos pulled away with a 5-2 quarter. Adair's second goal and Martin's finish cut the deficit to 14-8, but the Broncos ground the clock down as Mahnke scored Pacific's only fourth quarter goal.

Pacific fell in a non-conference contest to UC San Diego, 13-11, in the afternoon. Adair scored four goals, while Gracie Smith and Rebecca Wright added three each. Meghan Nee posted nine saves in net, but the Tritons used a six-goal third quarter for the neutral site victory.
