No. 20 Women's Water Polo Falls To No. 3 UCLA

Santa Barbara, Calif. - The No. 20 Pacific women's water polo team wrapped up the UC Santa Barbara Winter Invite by falling to No. 3 UCLA Sunday, 12-6.

Gracie Smith and Taylor Adair scored two goals each, while Rebecca Wright and Brydie Pye also tallied for the Tigers. Goalkeeper Meghan Nee made seven saves in net.

UCLA jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter and led 6-0 at halftime before the Tigers broke through and played the Bruins even in the second half.

The Tigers posted three goals in the third and fourth quarters, but fall to 1-4 on the season. UCLA improves to 8-0 on the year.

Adair leads the Tigers with eight goals in five games.

Pacific will travel to Providence, R.I. for the Brown Invitational starting Saturday, Feb. 1. The Tigers will face Marist, Wagner and Brown on Saturday, and Indiana and Hartwick on Sunday.
