Pacific Hosts Portland, Gonzaga

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's volleyball team will host its final home matches of October this weekend, when they welcome the Portland Pilots and Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Last Week …
Pacific is coming off of a tough weekend, dropping road matches at Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount. 

Riley Ramsey was the Tigers leader on the weekend, averaging a double-double with 15.5 kills and 10 digs per match. Against the Waves Ramsey recorded her first double-double of the season, totaling 13 kills and 11 digs. The following night against the Lions, Ramsey led Pacific with 18 kills.

Also with outstanding performances against LMU were Lauren Cline with a .438 hitting percentage (9-2-16) and Alex Holt with a .316 hitting percentage (8-1-19).



Our Leaders …

  • Kaitlyn Lines continues to be the Tigers top performer with 4.3 points and 3.7 kills per set. The Arizona product also totals 2.26 digs per set and has 22 service aces on the season.
  • Alex Holt is hitting a team-leading .289 and has garnered 52 total blocs. 
  • Jadyn Tubbs tops four players who averages over two digs per set. Tubbs collects 3.8 digs per set, while Riley Patterson follows with 2.43 digs per set.

Scouting The Pilots …

  • The Pilots are off to a 14-4 start, which includes a 2-4 WCC record.
  • Senior Reghan Pukis leads the Portland offense with 3.51 kills per set. In addition, she leads with 3.65 points per set. 
  • Cali Thompson commands the offense with 10.83 assists per set.
  • Defensively, Carey Williams collects 4.38 digs per set

Scouting the Bulldogs …

  • Gonzaga is .500 (3-3) in conference play, 6-11 overall.
  • Sarah Penner averages 3.3 points, 3.0 kills per set
  • Katelyn Oppio leads with 45 blocks, ranks second with a .256 hitting percentage, and has a team-best 20 service aces.
  • Jenna Kuehn and Mary Marzo share time at setter, dishing out 5.98 assists and 4.92 assists per set, respectively.
