THIS WEEK IN WVB - SEASON FINALE & SENIOR NIGHT
Fri., Nov. 25: vs. Seattle • 7:00 pm
Closing out the 2011 season, the Pacific women's volleyball team will play one more match on the year as the Tigers host the Redhawks of Seattle Unversity on Friday, November 25 at the Alex G. Spanos Center. The match will be the 30th of the year for the Tigers as they enter the final match of the season with a 17-12 overall record. The Redhawks enter the season finale at just 5-20 after struggling to find their way in 2011. The match will be the first meeting between the two teams.
In addition to putting the 2011 season to a close, the match on Friday will also put to a close the collegiate careers of Pacific's two seniors, Samantha Misa and Rebekah Torres. After giving their all to the Pacific program throughout their time in the Orange and Black, the duo will say goodbye to the Spanos Center on Friday night at the close of the Tigers' match. For Misa, the match will be her final contest for the Tigers after back-to-back all-conference caliber seasons after transfering to Pacific as a junior. For Torres, the night will be the final showing for a player who has been a jack-of-all-trades throughout her four year career at Pacific and the final showing for the longest tenured Tiger among both coach and player. The two will be honored in a ceremony prior to the start of the match.
