Road Trip Provides Pacific With An Opportunity To Get Into The Race

GAME NOTES - WEEK 8 - OCT. 14-15

Three weeks into the conference season the picture as to who is the best in the Big West is still muddled with no clear favorite emerging early in the season.  Entering the week at 3-3 in the Big West, the Tigers sit just one game out of the top spot and can make a move up the standings with a successful trip down south.  Pacific heads to Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State where the team will take on the reigning champs on Friday and the projected champs (from the preseason coaches' poll) on Saturday night.  Saturday's event at the Pyramid will also be a Dig Pink event as both teams will wear pink in honor of breast health awareness.

Last season, the Tigers struggled against the Titans and 49ers as they fell in all four matches against the two teams including a sweep at Fullerton and a tough-to-swallow 3-2 loss at the Pyramid in Long Beach.  Against the 49ers, Pacific picked up career efforts out of their front line attackers, but serving issues derailed the Tigers chances of knocking off Long Beach at the Pyramid.
