TOURNAMENT NOTES - VERIZON WIRELESS VOLLEYBALL CLASSIC - SEPT. 8-10

The Tigers will head to the Islands (Honolulu, Hawaii) to take part in the Verizon Wireless Volleyball Challenge hosted by Hawai'i this week to take on Cincinnati, No. 12 Hawai'i and Rice in tournament play.  Pacific will face its stiffest test of the tournament season in Hawaii as they face a Cincinnati team that began the year receiving votes in the AVCA top-25 before taking on the No. 12 ranked Rainbow Wahine of Hawai'i.  Hawai'i will be the second ranked opponent for the Tigers in as many weeks after taking on No. 18 Duke a week ago at the Bankers Classic.  It will be a clash of former and now future Big West foes as Hawai'i will rejoin the conference in 2012-13.
