Tigers Win Doubles Consolation Crown in Final Day of Saint Mary's Invitational

Moraga, Calif.- The Pacific women's tennis team participated in day three of the Saint Mary's Invitational, on Oct. 12, and collected two wins over both doubles and singles events.

The first victory of the day for Pacific came in the Red ITA Doubles Consolation Finals as senior Jolanta Twarowska (Hamburg, Germany) and junior Sasha Fisher (Southampton, Bermuda) defeated Cecilia Gratian and Jenni Heinser from University of San Francisco for the consolation round title, 8-5.

In the White ITA Singles Consolation Bracket, sophomore Kateryna Nezhura (Kiev, Ukraine) defeated Danielle Farmer of Gonzaga 6-3,6-1 in the semi-final round. In the finals, Nezhura fell to Molly Aloia from Saint Mary's College 7-5, 6-4.

The Tigers are next in action from Oct. 17-20, in Palo Alto, as they take part in the ITA Regionals Tournament.
