Pacific Suffers Three Losses to Conclude Action at the Cal / Nike Invitational

Berkeley, Calif. - The doubles team of junior Svenja Arens (Bensberg, Germany) and sophomore Kateryna Nezhura (Kiev, Ukraine) fell in the quarterfinals of the Doubles Blue Division at the Cal / Nike Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 27.
Nezhura and Arens fell to the second-seeded Bruna Paes and Laura Pola of Fresno State, 8-5.
Pacific also had the doubles team of senior Jolanta Twarowska (Hamburg, Germany) and junior Sasha Fisher (Southampton, Bermuda) in action, falling to Minnesota's Alessandra Ferrazi and Tijana Koprivica, 8-4.
The final entrant for Pacific was Twarowska in the Singles Gold Consolation Quarterfinals. Jolanta lost to Arizona's Sarah Landman, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (6).
The Tigers will return to the court at the Saint Mary's Invitational on Friday, Oct. 10.
