STOCKTON, Calif. – The University of the Pacific women's tennis team dropped its match against Saint Mary's on Sunday afternoon, 4-0.
After falling in the doubles competition, the Tigers had three singles matches go unfinished. Maayan Sela fell in her first set on No. 1 singles but took the second set by a score of 6-2 before her match went unfinished.
In No. 2 singles, Dohee Lee won her first set in a tie breaker with a 7-6 decision and a 7-3 tiebreak. Lee was trailing 3-2 in set two before going unfinished.
Karina Vyrlan was on No. 3 singles and won her first set, 6-4. Vyrlan was tied 5-5 with her opponent Clementine Clement before their match went unfinished.
The Tigers fall to 5-9 on the season and 1-3 in West Coast Conference action, while Saint Mary's improves to 10-7 overall and 4-2 in conference.
Pacific returns to action at home on Wednesday, April 11 hosting Santa Clara University, followed by Portland and Gonzaga on Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15. First serve on Wednesday is set for 3:00 p.m.
