Women’s Tennis Collects Multiple Wins on Day Three

PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Pacific women's tennis team gathered multiple wins as the third day of the ITA Northwest Regionals wrapped up in Palo Alto.

Doubles was dominant for the Tigers as the Orange and Black picked up a pair of wins. Yuki Asami and Anna Ramos Vinolas snagged a victory, 8-3 over Dorian and Ugarkovic, while Anneroos Nederstigt and Sabrina Rodriguez topped Cal Poly's Abigail Bacharach and Celine Gruaz with ease, 8-1.

The duo of Karina Vyrlan and Maayan Sela fell in their Saturday consolation match, 8-5 in a well-fought battle to Kelsie Bryant and Kristy Jorgensen of UC Davis.

In singles, Nederstigt gave the Tigers another win as she took down Seriana Saltzen in a three-set thriller, 6-1, 4-6, 1-0(5), while Sela collected a loss, 6-2, 6-2 along with Vyrlan, 6-2, 6-2 to Georgia Lawson of Fresno State.

Asami rounded out the day adding to the Tiger victories as she defeated Giannina Ong of Santa Clara, 6-4, 6-2.

Day four continues Sunday morning as the Tigers continue their journey at the Taube Family Tennis Center on the campus of Stanford University.
