PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Pacific women's tennis team saw a tough day of matches as the second day of the ITA Northwest Regionals, hosted by Stanford, wrapped up.

In doubles, Maayan Sela and Karina Vyrlan competed in the round of 32 but their journey was stopped short as they were taken down, 8-3 by a pair from Oregon. The combo of Yuki Asami and Anna Ramos Vinolas was edged in a battle with Kali McCollister and Audrey Scott from Seattle, 8-7(5), while Anneroos Nederstigt and Sabrina Rodriguez fell 8-5 in their consolation match.

With singles action in the afternoon, Asami faced Nadine DelCarmen from Santa Clara but was nipped by the Bronco, 6-4, 6-1, while Rodriguez also took a loss in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2 to Sacramento State's Sofia Gulnova.

Due to a weather delay in the morning, the rest of the singles matches were pushed back to Saturday morning.

Day three of the tournament advances into Saturday as the Tigers look to bounce back.
