Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific Women's Tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Liberty on Tuesday, March 10 at the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts. The Tigers fell to 7-4 overall, while the Flames improved to 11-2.
The Tigers lost the doubles point, despite getting a victory from Hana Ritterova and Iveta Masarova at No. 1. Masarova and Ritterova also won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, but Liberty clinched the win with wins at the other four singles spots.
"It was a tough loss today as a team," said Head Coach Charlotte Scatliffe. "We had some solid individual efforts but unfortunately did not show up all on the same page and ready to bring it. We look forward to recovering physically and mentally to be ready to go against a tough San Jose state team."
The Tigers return to action with a home match against San Jose State on Saturday, March 14 at 1:00 p.m.
