Tigers Fall On the Road At Irvine

Irvine, Calif. - The Pacific women's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision on Sunday, March 1 at UC Irvine.  The Tigers fell to 5-3 on the season, while Irvine improved to 8-3.

The Anteaters took the doubles point. Iveta Masarova secured a point in singles, winning 6-4, 6-3. Hana Ritterova and Antonella Santeusanio also had singles wins to match the three singles wins by Irvine, but the Anteaters took the victory. 

"I'm very pleased with this weekend's performance." said Head Coach Charlotte Scatliffe, "The Tigers came out against a tough top 50 ranked team today and showed some real grit and fight. We will use the momentum gained from this weekend and put it into a good week of practice before our first WCC match of the season next Saturday."

The Tigers are next in action on Saturday, Mar. 7 against BYU at the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts.
