Tigers Compete In Day Two Of The Saint Mary's College Invitational

Moraga, Calif.-The second day of match play proved to be action packed.  Gergana Boncheva had an exceedingly close match against Erica Medlin of San Jose State in which they split sets and went 10-8 in the third set tie breaker.

At the conclusion of the match, Head Women's Tennis Coach, Coach Scatliffe stated, "Today we fought as best we could.  Suarez and Masarova took it Cal this morning and had numerous game points but in the end it was too little to late as they lost 2-8.  Although the want to win was there the Tigers came up short.  We have a quick turn around before Regionals next weekend and have some specific things we will be working on to get us over the hump to close out the big games for our matches to come."
