STOCKTON, Calif. - Tigers' pitcher Hailey Reed was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week, the WCC announced Monday morning.
The sophomore ace pitched a full 7.0 innnings of work on Saturday in the Orange and Black's 5-0 shutout victory against Fairleigh Dickinson. Reed allowed only three hits on 27 batters to go along with seven strikeouts in her second shutout of the season. The two-way player also contributed four hits, scored four runs, and tallied in two RBI at the plate for Pacific during it's three game roadtrip against North Texas, FDU, and Sac State.
Last year's WCC Co-Freshman of the year and this season's WCC All-Preseason Selection, Reed leads the team in strikeouts (33) and is tied with Marissa Young with three complete games pitched. She is currently 3-4 on the season in nine appearances in the circle.
