Saw action in 34 games for the Tigers her sophomore year. Led all sophomores with 14 hits, nine runs scored, nine walks, and 12 RBI. Had three multi-RBI games, including two hits, one home run, and a career-high 3-RBI against Saint Mary's (May 5th). Also recorded two RBI's to help Pacific to an 8-3 victory over CSU Bakersfield and two RBI's versus Northern Colorado. Had her best three-game stretch of the season against Santa Clara and Saint Mary's, recording an RBI-triple in Pacific's 5-1 win over the Broncos.
Appeared in 52 games, which led all freshman on the team. She put together a .296 batting average and paced the team in stolen bases with four and runs scored with 28 while establishing herself as a threat at the top of the lineup. Sung logged her first collegiate hit against Cal State Fullerton (Feb. 12) and then registered a perfect 2-for-2 performance the very next game against Omaha (Feb. 18). Against Lehigh (Mar. 15) she went 4-for-4 with a double for her first collegiate extra base hit and shortly after scored three runs while going 3-for-4 on two consecutive days in the routes of Missouri-Kansas City (Mar. 24 & 25). Sung wrapped up the season with a 2-for-4 performance in the final game of the year against Nevada (May 17) for her 12th multi-hit game of the season.
Sung was named All-League three times during her four-year varsity career in addition to being named to the All-State team twice. In the 2015 State Championship game she earned co-MVP honors. The Tualatin, Oregon native finished her high school career with a stellar on-base percentage of .503.
Caitlyn is a Health, Exercise and Sport Sciences major and plays to work in the physical therapy field.
