STOCKTON, Calif. - The Tigers will host their second-straight double header this Tuesday when they take on Princeton at 4 PM and 6 PM. Pacific will then head to Riverside, Calif. for the UCLA-UC Riverside Tournament where they will play Missouri-Kansas City, UC Riverside and Dartmouth.
Pacific experienced a setback last week as they fell to Lehigh, UMass and #8 Minnesota. In the weekly opener against Lehigh, Hailey Reed pitched seven innings with two strikeouts and just three earned in the 3-2 loss. Caitlyn Sung went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate and hit her first collegiate double. Against UMass, Rachel Sellers hit her fifth home run of the year on a two-run shot to left field while Marissa Young went the distance in the circle, striking out seven.
Princeton is 3-5 this season and coming off a 2-2 Aggie Invitational II where they beat North Dakota and Saint Mary's. Pacific holds the 7-5 all-time advantage over the Tigers including victories in three of the last four contests.
This Friday, the Orange and Black open up UCLA-UC Riverside Tournament play against Missouri-Kansas City at 9 AM and will then play host UC Riverside at 11:30 AM. On Saturday Pacific takes on Missouri-Kansas City again at 9 AM before going up against Dartmouth at 11:30 AM. The Tigers cap off tournament play against UC Riverside on Sunday at 12:30 PM.
