Goyette started 45 of 48 games for the Tigers as part of a breakout campaign in 2014. Goyette tied fellow Senior Taylor Petty with a team-leading 51 hits in 156 at bats and added eight steals. Goyette had 18 multi-hit games and provided an on-base presence from the top of the Pacific order in her first full season as a starter in left field. On the basepaths, Gabby was 8-9 in stolen bases attempts. In conference games, Goyette tied for the lead in hits (19) and runs scored (13) while claiming the outright lead in stolen bases (5). Defensively, Goyette made just two errors, recording 77 putouts. Following the season, Goyette was named to the All-WCC First team in addition to All-WCC Academic team honors. In addition, Gabby was named the program's Char Burshiem Most Improved Player.
In her third year at Pacific, Gabby saw time at both corner outfield positions while also coming off the bench as a pinch runner for the Tigers. Throughout the year, Goyette played in 25 games while earning 15 starts in the outfield or as the team's designated player. In total, Gabby posted 11 hits in 53 at bats while scoring four runs and posting a pair of RBI. In the field, she added 14 put outs while also tallying one outfield assist against Long Beach State on April 13.
Splitting time in the outfield and as the Tigers' top pinch-runner, Goyette saw time in 33 contests while starting 14 games. The corner outfielder finished her second season hitting .229 as she posted 11 hits in 48 at bats while driving in three runs. On the bases, Gabby scored seven runs.
Finishing her first year at Pacific, Gabby spent most of her inaugural campaign as the Tigers' primary pinch-runner and reserve outfielder. Appearing in 26 games for Pacific, Goyette scored six runs on the year while also going 1-for-6 with a walk at the plate as a pinch-hitter. She picked up her first collegiate hit against Cal State Northridge on April 16 when she singled down the right-field line in the top of the seventh inning in the Tigers' 9-7 win over the Matadors. In the field, Gabby recorded just three defensive chances on the year, but made the most of her time in left as she posted one of Pacific's seven outfield assists for the season.
A 2010 graduate of Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado, Calif., Gabby was an outstanding outfielder for the ORHS Trojans. In her senior year, Goyette led her team in batting average and on-base percentage, finishing the year with a .454 batting average, .466 OBP and went a perfect 17-for-17 in base stealing en route to leading her team to a 27-5 season. As a junior, Goyette led her team to both the Sierra Valley League championship and the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section championship in 2009. During the season, Goyette posted a .324 batting average in 27 games while adding 14 runs and nine RBI. The championship in 2009 was a repeat performance for the Trojans after they picked up the CIF championship for the first time in 2008. As a sophomore, Goyette led her team in hitting with an impressive .482 batting average while also adding 16 runs and six RBI at the top of the lineup. For her play, Goyette earned All-Metro First Team honors while also earning All-State Underclassman honors.
Gabby Goyette was born in Placerville, Calif., and is the daughter of Paul Goyette and Janet Cross. She has three siblings, Maxine, Gretchen and Blair. In her fourth year at Pacific, Gabby is majoring in business with ambitions to work in sports.
