Looking To Get Back On Track, Pacific Hosts Cal Poly

Complete Release

Beginning their final stint of home games for the 2012 regular season, the Tigers kick off a two-week homestand with a three game stint against Cal Poly this weekend.  The Tigers are looking to get back on track and reclaim their place alone at the top of the Big West standings as they enter the week knotted in a four-way tie for the conference lead at 8-4.

Last season the Tigers took two of three from the Mustangs on the road in San Luis Obispo, Calif., winning the opening doubleheader to secure their first-ever Big West championship.  All three games of the series last season went to extra-innings with the first game of the weekend lasting 10 innings while the last two went eight innings before a decision was had.

For Pacific, the weekend series carries extra weight after the Tigers dropped two of three at UC Santa Barbara last weekend to lose their grip on first place in the conference.
