Libby Matson Tournament On The Slate For Pacific Softball

As the Pacific softball team closes out non-conference tournament play this week the Tigers will do so at home at Bill Simoni Field where they host the Libby Matson Tournament.  The Tigers will host their second tournament of the season as Pacific welcomes Princeton, San Diego State and Saint Mary's for the 2012 edition of the Libby Matson.  The Libby Matson tournament is in its second year of revival after Pacific brought the tournament back after laying dormant for years.

The Tigers enter the weekend looking to make a strong final push as they begin their final preparations for the Big West season which starts on March 31.  The reigning Big West champs come into the tournament with a 14-10 record and sit atop the conference standings despite facing one a brutally tough schedule throughout the opening two months of action.
