STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific women's soccer team wraps up their three-game road trip this weekend when they take on UC Santa Barbara (3-3-1) this Friday at 5:30 PM before battling Cal Poly (2-4-1) this Sunday at noon. Both these contests will be streamed free of charge on Big West TV.
Friday's game will be the 23rd meeting between the Tigers and Gauchos, with UC Santa Barbara holding a 6-10-6 all-time advantage. Last season the Orange and Black were edged 3-2 at Knoles Field, with Samia Adam scoring in the 82nd minute off an assist from Kendall Bietsch and goalie Melissa Ma making five saves.
Pacific's contest against Cal Poly this Sunday will be just the Mustang's second home game of the year. Last season the Tigers opened up their 2016 campaign hosting Cal Poly and were narrowly topped 2-0.
Offensively the Orange and Black have excelled in spreading the wealth as five Tigers have accounted for six total goals so far this year. Last weekend against Northern Arizona Sigrid Aas notched her first goal of the season as she converted on a penalty kick. She joins Jessica Fogel, Alex Hussar, Hannah Terry and Bryndís Rún Thórólfsdóttir who have all netted scores this 2017 campaign.
Pacific returns home on Sept. 22 to welcome CSU Bakersfield for a 7 PM kickoff. West Coast Conference play begins on Sept. 29 as the Tigers host Gonzaga.
