Stockton, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Cal State Fullerton on Sunday, October 28. The Tigers finished the season 3-14-1 and 0-8-1 in league play, while the Titans improved to 10-8-0 and 7-2-0 in Big West action.
"We're really proud of our seniors, our final class in the Big West," said head coach Keith Coleman. "I'm proud of the way we've played this season despite the results. We are already excited about our first season in the West Coast Conference next year."
Neither team scored in the first half, though each team had several chances. The Titans outshot Pacific 6-4 in the opening 45 minutes.
Cal State Fullerton scored seven minutes into the second half, when Janali West scored her first goal of the season as she flicked it in off of a blocked shot attempt by Ann Marie Tangorra. West scored again at 58:31 on an assist from JeAnne Mazeau and scored a third goal on an assist from Rebecca Wilson at 76:46. Pacific made it 3-1 when junior Brittni Beeman scored from the top of the box on a great pass from junior Maricela Padilla at the 80:47 mark. Rebecca Wilson added a goal for the Titans at 87:47 after a scramble to a loose ball on an empty net.
Pacific was outshot by CSUF 17-10, while the Titans held a 2-0 edge in corner kicks.
