Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific Field Hockey team (6-13) will face off with Appalachian State at 9:00 am on Friday for 5th place in the NorPac Championships. The Tigers dropped a 2-1 decision to UC Davis in the quarterfinals of the NorPac tournament on Thursday to set up the matchup with the Mountaineers.
The Tigers fell 2-1 to UC Davis despite the first goal of the season for sophomore Sidney Brooks. Appalachian State dropped a 3-1 decision to Cal, despite 11 saves for goalkeeper Cristina Ceppi. Ali Campos will look to continue her hot streak against App State, as the sophomore has scored 7 goals in the two matchups between the teams this season. The Tigers took a 6-1 decision at a neutral site but fell 5-4 in Boone, N.C. on the App State campus two weeks ago.
