It was a breakout year for Counsman as she finshed second on the team with 17 points for the Tigers. She played in 19 games, earning 12 starts. Her career highlight to date was scoring a pair of goals, including the game winner in the Tigers upset of No. 22 Michigan State on the first of October. She also had a two goal game in the Tigers contest against La Salle. On September 14, Counsman's goal and assist helped Pacific to a 4-1 rout of Siena.
In her second season with Pacific, Counsman played in 13 games, earning three starts. She found success on the offensive side of the field with two goals in as many games against Longwood on Oct. 6 and Nov. 3. She had a season-high four shots on goal in a win on Brookside Field against Robert Morris.
As a true freshman, Counsman appeared in two games for the Tigers.
Paige Counsman graduated from University Liggett School in Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich., in 2010. She helped lead the Knights to a Division 2 championship in 2008. Counsman led the team in scoring as a junior (11 goals, 12 assists) and senior (12 goals, 9 assists). For her efforts, she was named First Team All-State twice (2008-09) and Team MVP as a senior (2009). Her talents did not limit her to field hockey alone, as she lettered in tennis twice as the number one singles player, ice hockey as a center three times, and soccer as a forward four times. As an ice hockey player, she was named First Team All-State twice (2008-09), Team MVP three times (2007-09) and named Michigan High School Miss Hockey (2009). She was named Female Athlete of the Year three times at University Liggett.
Paige Counsman was born in Detroit, Mich. She is the daughter of Angela and Richard Counsman. She has a younger brother, James. Counsman is majoring in sports management and film, with plans to work in the film industry or for a professional sports team. Her hobbies include music, movies, reading, sports, and traveling.
