Field Hockey Adds Another With The Signing Of Corder

Stockton, Calif. – Pacific Field Hockey has added another accomplished student-athlete to its 2012 class with the recent signing of goalkeeper Maggie Corder. The newest signing gives head coach Linda MacDonald seven freshmen to welcome to her squad in August.

Corder will arrive to the Tigers after starting four years and earning as many letters in the cage at Grandview High School in Aurora, Colorado. In 2008 and 2011 the keeper was selected to her all-conference team and was a member of the Denver Futures Division for three seasons. Throughout her four seasons in high school, Corder went on to play in the regional tournament twice and was on a team that went on play in the national finals. She also played soccer and lacrosse for the Grandview Wolves.

Academically, Corder ranks in the top 10 percent of her senior class, while being honored all four years to the Academic All-State Field Hockey team. She also has received on three separate occasions academic letters for maintaining a G.P.A above 3.75.

MacDonald added about her most recent signee, "We are very excited about [Corder's] decsion to attend Pacific. Her confidence and outgoing personality will be an asset in the cage. She is the type of student-athlete that will do anything that is necessary to improve her game, which will be important this summer. I expect her to compete for playing time right away."
