Nelson Named To The NorPac All-Tournament Team

Stanford, Calif. – Senior defender Robin Nelson added another accomplishment to finish off her impressive field hockey career on Saturday, Nov. 5.  The Morgan Hill, Calif. native was selected to the 2011 NorPac All-Tournament team.

Nelson was excited about the accomplishment, but was quick to compliment her teammates saying, "this was very unexpected. Our entire team played so well this weekend. It could have been anyone of them."

Nelson was a force on a defense that only allowed one goal and a limited number of chances in a dominant 3-1 victory over the Radford Highlanders. 

For the game, the Pacific offense was supported by sophomore forward Melissa Maultsby as she blasted the Tigers first two scores past the Highlanders' keeper. Then Senior Amanda Spellman finished her career on top adding her fifth goal of the season, and giving the Tigers a comfortable 3-0 lead.
